The mission of the Foundation includes awarding scholarships to students demonstrating personal achievements or qualifications in a variety of areas. Scholarships are open to any graduating CV Senior planning to further their education through a 4 year, 2 year/associate degree or certified trade school. All eligible students are encouraged to apply.
NOTE: Students may apply for multiple scholarships however should their application be selected in more than one category, only one scholarship will be awarded. Award will be selected from highest dollar earning scholarship. Scoring information is kept confidential.

Betty Mucha was a long term employee of the Chartiers Valley School District having served most of her tenure as the Librarian. Education was such an important part of Betty’s life and so with her passing she generously established her scholarship fund. Per her instructions, it is aimed to support the continued education of a graduating senior that resides in Scott Township.
One $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to a qualifying senior in each of the Foundation’s scholarships categories: Academic Achievement, Personal Growth and Technical or Associate’s Degree program.
Applications will be accepted beginning immediately and must be submitted by the March 31, 2021. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Only one application per student. Applicant must be a senior, currently enrolled in Chartiers Valley High School, scheduled to graduate Spring, 2021, residing in Scott Township.

National Honor Society Scholarship

This $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to one qualifying senior applicant at the close of the 2020-21 school year. Applications will be accepted beginning January 1, 2021 and must be submitted by the March 31, 2021. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Only one application per student. Applicant must be a senior, currently enrolled in Chartiers Valley High School, scheduled to graduate Spring, 2021.
National Honor Society: Student must be a senior member of The National Honor Society in good standing with the organization’s Chartiers Valley Chapter. Cumulative GPA Requirements: Senior year – 3.8 or higher and Junior GPA 4.2 or higher. Submit a well-written essay in accordance with the application questions.

Applications will be accepted beginning January 1, 2021 and must be submitted by the March 31, 2021. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Only one application per student. Applicant must be a senior, currently enrolled in Chartiers Valley High School, scheduled to graduate Spring, 2021.
Applicants must submit a well written essay describing circumstance surrounding personal academic achievement at some point in their high school tenure. A GPA no less than 3.8 is required to qualify for this award.

Family and Consumer Sciences Department Blood Donation Scholarship

The Chartiers Valley Consumer and Family Sciences department supports Vitalant (formerly The Central Blood Bank) throughout the year through sponsorship of several blood drives held within the District. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must participate in the drives through volunteering as a worker, blood donation, or other assignments as provided by the program coordinator, A timely application must be completed that includes an essay with the student’s thoughts on the importance of the program and is scored based on the student’s level of participation throughout the year. (Students unable to donate blood due to medical reasons may earn points in other ways)
